Get your Xero file set up right, right from the start, and learn how to do your own bookkeeping and read financial reports.
This course is specifically designed for small business owners in the creative industries - performers, photographers, florists, authors, strippers and everyone in between.
What we cover:
- Set up & choosing the right plan for you
- Settings
- Tracking categories
- Bank accounts and importing historic transactions
- PayPal, Stripe, Square, and EziDebit
- Sending invoices, quotes, and credit notes
- Creating bills and receipts, and coding expenses
- Bank rules
- Reconciling common transactions (like paying the ATO, matching invoices, paying yourself etc.)
- Fixing common issues
- Budget Manager
- Reading financial reports
This course does not cover Payroll or Fixed Assets - these will be offered as separate 'expansion pack' courses that you can purchase if they are relevant to your business.

This course is not designed for all industries - it is content specifically designed for the usual clients of The Real Thiel. After 10+ years of doing these Xero set ups as a one-on-one service, Lauren has recognised the commonalities amongst her niche market, and so has built this course to make the information and training more accessible (she can't help everyone who needs it if she has to do it in the format of one-on-one consults), and affordable (this is about 1/3 of the cost).
This course is offered as on-demand video content.
The team at The Real Thiel can still be booked for consult meetings or Xero assistance along the way if you need (for an additional fee). The goal is though that we have pre-empted all your likely questions, and offered answers in this program already.
